PROGRAMME REVIEW
RISE: outreach and digital awareness
School outreach from November 2025 to July 2026. Prepared 22 October 2026.
Purpose and scope
RISE means Resilience, Inclusion, Support and Education. The programme brings mental health education to students, teachers and school communities in Zaria.
The three stages of RISE
- Stage 1: Schools. Mental health education and engagement with students, teachers and school leaders.
- Stage 2: Hospitals. The second stage of the RISE for Mental Health campaign.
- Stage 3: Correctional facilities. The third stage of the campaign.
The outreach reports and reach figures on this website cover Stage 1. Delivery dates and activity records for Stages 2 and 3 will be added when available.
Stage 1: School reach
The current records cover seven schools, with 2,030 students and 333 teachers and management staff reached, a total of 2,363. These are reported participation figures and do not establish a deduplicated count across all programmes.

School programme themes include mental health awareness, stigma, student distress, supportive conversations, teacher wellbeing, coping skills and school referral pathways. The detailed topics available vary by activity.

Digital education
The 30-day children’s mental health awareness campaign reports 1,000+ WhatsApp contacts reached, 250+ average views per daily post and 12+ estimated reshares per post. The website hosts 36 flyers, including additional learning-disorder resources.
What the figures establish
The records document reach and activity. They do not measure changes in mental health, behaviour or learning. Digital indicators are reported separately because audiences might overlap; post views are not distinct people.
Partnership
The board of Excel Mental Health Foundation approved its partnership with BridgeSphere Social Change Initiative in support of mental health and wellbeing.
Basis of this review
Compiled from BridgeSphere’s recorded school activities, existing website programme descriptions and campaign indicators. This is a programme activity review, not an audited financial statement or a full-year annual report.
